Center Church

The Center Church was built in 1896. The church served the Lutheran community of McVille until it closed in 1994. The grant allowed Friends and Family for Center to make steeple repairs and re-construct the round window in the steeple. They protected all of their windows with a vented plexi-glass covering and then hand scraped and painted the steeple. Landscaping around the building was used as match and created sufficient drainage to help solve water problems in their basement. The building serves the community with special occasion services and a yearly summer celebration service.

Restoration Project Cost: $2,167.88
Prairie Churches Grassroots Grant: $1,061.00
Local Match: $1,106.88
