Old Main MSU-Bottineau

The administration announced plans to demolsh Old Main and build an addition to anothe building in its place. The building was labeled as not worth investing money in renovation by the architects of the addition. As the last remaining vestige of the ND State School of Forestry, and the only historic building on campus, local advocates wanted more facts on the condition of the structure. Preservation North Dakota was able to apply for funding from the NTHP and match it with a grant from the SHSND to have a structural assessment conducted by an architecture firm more familiar with the process of restoring historic buildings.
