Betania Church
Betania Church, rural Maxbass was created when the former Gravly post office and store was bought and moved in 1906. It was remodeled to be used as a church and is the present church. The grant allowed the Friends of Betania Church to re-roof and shingle the building. The building was also painted, the north window in the steeple was replaced and reopened, and the front entry doors were replaced with a set resembling the original doors. Currently the building serves as a community meeting place and holds services on special occasions.
