Manfred History and Preservation, Inc.

Manfred History and Preservation, Inc. (MHP, Inc.) is a non-profit volunteer organization that celebrates the legacy of rural America. Its mission is to compile and share the history of Manfred, North Dakota and its traditional trade area, and to encourage community pride and restoration of its historic structures. MHP, Inc. oversees the ongoing history and restoration projects in the village of Manfred.

Manfred Heritage Museum is an educational entity of Manfred History and Preservation, Inc. Its purpose is to provide present and future generations the opportunity to learn about the important contributions rural places such as Manfred have given to North Dakota and to America. Our tag statement is ‘A settler’s village celebrating rural America.’ We recently celebrated the 100th year of the Manfred School building and the dedication of two more historic buildings into the museum’s architectural collection. Building included at present include the Vang Church, Manfred School, State Bank, Hotel Johnson, Melby/Rogness House, Johnson/ Jacobson/Ostrem House; and the Rogers Lumber Company/Solheim Service Station.-
