Ward County Historical Society

Explore the past and experience life in Ward County, North Dakota at the turn of the 20th Century.

The Ward County Historical Society is a non-profit museum, located on the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in Minot, North Dakota. During the summer months, the Historic Village provides the explorer a snap shot of life on the Northern Plains from the l883 through the World War II era. The Samuelson House Museum which is open year-round (see hours of operation), contains various exhibits that depict the people and events that shaped the region from its distant past through the present day. The organization welcomes all ages as explorers of the past. School groups and other organizations are likewise welcome. Join us as we investigate the history of the Northern Plains. Guided walking tours are available
