Sibyl Center for Life Enrichment
The Foundation for Life Enrichment is organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposes, more specifically to enrich the quality of life in Stanley, ND and surrounding communities by encouraging the quest for learning, aesthetics, youth development and the arts. The specific goal of the foundation is the renovation of the former Presbyterian Church in Stanley, renamed the Sibyl Center for Life Enrichment, which was donated to the foundation by the City of Stanley. When the refurbishment has been completed, the Sibyl Center will serve as a major focal point for the arts in western North Dakota.
The Sibyl Center is a community-friendly center for the arts and learning in downtown Stanley, North Dakota. The center hosts a variety of events from April through November.
The Sibyl Center has undergone extensive renovations, capitalizing on its acoustically and visually rich performance space. With comfortable seating for nearly 200, performances are up-close and personal. Every seat is a good one!
The handsome building is a one-of-a-kind example of prairie church architecture. Its adaptive reuse honors the memory of Sibyl MacDonald who brought the joys of music to hundreds of Stanley's young people during her long piano-teaching career.
Generous contributions from within and outside the community have financed essential structural improvements and furnishings. Donations are targeted towards repairs, upkeep and equipment.
